Affordable Housing/Sect. 8 Property Manager ($40/hr)
We are seeking an experienced Property Manager to join property management operation overseeing approximately 25 residential properties across Waltham, Watertown, and Boston. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to expand on their experience within affordable housing/section 8 and hit the ground running.

- Work Arrangement: On-site in Waltham with occasional travel to properties in Waltham, Watertown, and Boston
- Pay Range: $35–$40/hour
- Parking: Free parking available
In this role, you will be a key partner in helping improve operations, strengthen tenant communication, organize records, and ensure the financial and administrative side of the business runs smoothly. Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and administrative property management functions
- Serve as a tenant liaison, responding to questions, managing communications, and processing rent-related items
- Work with Section 8 and subsidized housing processes, including compliance with time-sensitive requirements and payment handling
- Coordinate property maintenance and repair requests
- Support vacancy marketing, broker coordination, and tenant screening
- Help organize and professionalize existing files, records, and operating processes
- 5–8+ years of property management experience
- Strong understanding of subsidized housing and/or Section 8 regulations
- Experience with bookkeeping, invoicing, and financial recordkeeping
- Comfortable using property management software systems
- Able to work independently in a small office environment while managing multiple priorities with minimal oversight
- Experience handling tenant communication with professionalism and sound judgment
- Experience coordinating maintenance, repairs, vendors, or general property operations
