Digital Communications Coordinator
Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, this temporary-to-permanent role manages the organization’s digital presence through content creation, social media, website oversight, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration to engage audiences and enhance visibility.
Pay rate is up to $30/hour, and the position is onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
– Manage, coordinate, and execute digital communications strategies across social media, website, email newsletters, CRM, and digital asset platforms
– Schedule, and optimize engaging written, visual, and short-form video content to support programs, events, and organizational initiatives
– Oversee website content updates, publishing standards, accessibility, usability, and analytics-driven improvements in collaboration with cross-functional teams
– Coordinate digital operations including digital asset management, publicity photography, email distribution, and CRM-based audience management
– Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure consistent messaging, support digital partnerships, and represent the organization in professional digital communications forums
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in a related field
– 3+ years of professional experience in digital communications, marketing, or institutional communications
– Professional experience supporting organizational or brand communications
– Experience managing projects related to digital assets and communications
– Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, or equivalent)
– Proficiency in project management software such as Asana or similar tools
– Must be able to work on-site Monday – Friday in Cambridge, MA
Preferred Experience & Skills:
– Experience in museums, cultural institutions, academic organizations, or STEAM-related environments
– Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in complex organizations
