Sr. Property Accountant (to $125k, 15% bonus, hybrid)
We’re hiring a Senior Property Accountant for a hybrid opportunity offering $110,000–$125,000 base plus a 15% bonus target. This role has a hybrid work arrangement with 3 days in office and 2 days remote.
This person will manage financial reporting and accounting for an assigned property portfolio, including monthly reporting packages, variance and cash flow analysis, reconciliations, budgeting support, tenant reconciliations, and capital call management. The role also partners closely with property management, joint venture partners, and third-party operators.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly reporting packages for assigned properties
- Perform variance, cash flow, balance sheet, and capital expenditure analysis
- Review lease abstracts and maintain leasing data
- Ensure tenant charges are billed accurately
- Record adjustments and accruals to the general ledger
- Monitor A/R and assist with collections
- Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash activity
- Support year-end reconciliations, audit schedules, and budget preparation
- Manage monthly capital calls
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 5+ years of accounting experience in public accounting, commercial real estate, and/or residential accounting
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Knowledge of property accounting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Advanced Excel and Word skills
- Yardi experience strongly preferred
- Access proficiency is a plus
